Shannon Whyley is the firm’s founder and a lawyer who has been practising in the specialized field of labour and employment law since her Call to the Bar in 2005. She began building the firm in 2022 based on her core values of dependability, ethics, authenticity, and accountability. Above all, the firm is embodied by a commitment to top quality legal advocacy, analysis, research, and writing.

Prior to her current role, Shannon has acted as in-house counsel with a large public sector labour organization, a partner with a major Western Canadian law firm, and an associate and student-at-law with a Toronto-based labour/employment and civil litigation boutique firm. Shannon has an extensive background advising unions, employers, and employees on legal issues affecting the workplace, and has represented clients before courts, the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board, human rights commissions, and arbitrators. She has also served on the boards of the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources Saskatchewan and the Albert Childcare Co-operative.

Shannon is also the mother of two magnificent kids, wife to her devoted husband Michael, and a prairie girl at heart who loves the outdoors. When she is not practising law, you might find her in a yoga studio, riding a horse, biking along the riverbank, or skiing down a mountain. Shannon and Michael also find joy in taking in our local food and beverage, live theatre, and music scenes in the great City of Saskatoon.
