Shannon Whyley is the firm’s founder and a lawyer who has been practising in the specialized field of labour and employment law for 20 years. She began building the firm in 2022 with a distinct passion for human-oriented leadership and her personal approach to the practice of law, which focusses on dependability, ethics, authenticity, and accountability. Shannon proudly practices with a team of like-minded professionals who share her commitment to top quality oral and written advocacy, analysis, and down-to-earth advice.
Shannon is currently a Regional Vice President (Saskatchewan) with the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers.
Shannon spent many years advising employers before “making the switch” in 2019 and has put her energy into acting primarily for unions and employees ever since. She has also done neutral work, acting as an independent investigator in workplace harassment cases. Having worked on all sides of her field, Shannon understands that the law is the same but the playbook is often different. Drawing on her past experiences to anticipate the next move, Shannon is able to provide the highest degree of effective advocacy and tactical decision-making for the firm’s clients.

When she is not practising law, you might find her in a yoga studio, riding a horse, biking along the riverbank, or skiing down a mountain. Shannon and Michael also find joy in taking in our local food and beverage, live theatre, and music scenes in the great City of Saskatoon.
